attraction is situated in the village of Candi Kuning Subdistrict, Baturiti

Bedugul is located on a plateau, in this tourist attraction
is Lake Beratan. Lake Beratan is located at an altitude of 1.250 metres above

A brief history of bedugul
There are some stories that mention about the history of the
origin of the name of these sights, so called Bedugul. The first story that is,
Bedugul taken from two words namely "Bedug" due to the Muslim
community groups around bedugul, and "Kul", from Kul-kul is a
Balinese traditional communication tools which functionality is almost the same
as the slit drum. Merger of the two words that would later make a name the area
called Bedugul. Another story is the history of the origin of the name of
Bedugul, i.e., in antiquity there was a King who was bathing in a Lake Beratan,
and accidentally seen by local people, while they said bedogol King, become
visible. That's some version of naming places of Bedugul.
History of Ulun Danu Temple, Beratan Lake
As written above, that in Lake Beratan, there is a temple
called Pura Ulun Danu. On the front page, exactly on the left temple Pura Ulun
Danu Beratan sarkopagus and Board there is a stone, which is derived from the
Megalithic period studied, about 500 years before the ad.
In The epigraph of Mengwi, recounted that, I Gusti Agung
Putu, who is the founder of the Kingdom of Mengwi erected a Temple at the edge
of Lake Beratan, before he set up pura taman ayun. In the epigraph Chronicle
Mengwi not mentioned exactly when he set up Pura Ulun Danu Beratan, but there
was a time the establishment of the taman ayun temple ceremonies take place at
the Anggara Kliwon Medangsia, years " Saka Sad Bhuta Yaksa Dewa ",
i.e., the 1556 saka, or, in 1634 ad.

Based on the description in mind that Ulun Danu Temple,
Beratan was founded before the year of saka 1556, by I Gusti Agung Putu. Since
the founding of the Temple of Mengwi Kingdom found to be notable, and I Gusti
Agung Putu regained the title from his people, "I Gusti Agung Sakti".
Until now Ulun Danu Temple became attractions in Bedugul frequented by both
local and abroad. Ulun Danu Temple Beratan temple complex consists of 4,
namely: Pura Lingga Petak, Pura Terate Bang, Pura Dalem Purwa, Pura Penataran
Pucak Mangu.
At Bedugul is a mosque that has old Great Mosque named
AL-Hidayah. The mosque is located on top of a small hill on the West side of
Lake Beratan. This area of the religions of islam and Hinduism are very
